"Vision and Mission"
The long-term development vision of local governments is formulated by identifying the existing development challenges in the Grama Panchayat and finding potential solutions on a priority basis. The development vision, strategy, and policy approach have been prepared taking into account the severity of issues faced in each sector, aligning with the objectives of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and discussing the directives in relevant government orders.
There are several obstacles to implementing state-level strategies and approaches in a relatively small Grama Panchayat with limited resource mobilization. Due to low tax revenue and a shortage of development funds, it is not possible to execute the Panchayat’s own local development activities to the intended extent. Therefore, the development vision, strategy, and policy approach have been prepared by planning projects implemented in accordance with government directives.
